This Privacy Policy describes how Lingo.dev ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform and integrations, including our Atlassian Jira integration.

Data Controller#

Lingo.dev is the data controller for information processed through our platform. We are responsible for the processing of your data - Atlassian is not responsible for how we handle data accessed through their APIs.

Contact: privacy@lingo.dev

Data Generated by Our Platform#

  • Workflow job records (triage decisions, actions taken)
  • AI-generated comments posted back to your Jira issues

How We Use Your Information#

We use the information collected to:

  • Run Jira workflows - we read issue content, analyze it using AI, and post results or take actions on your behalf (e.g. adding comments, creating issues, updating fields)
  • Maintain your integration - OAuth tokens are used to authenticate API requests to Jira on your behalf

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for purposes unrelated to the services you requested.

AI Processing#

Jira issue content (summaries, descriptions, comments) is sent to third-party AI model providers for analysis. This is a core part of the integration.

  • Issue content is processed by AI models to analyze issues and suggest actions
  • We do not use your data to train AI models
  • AI processing results may be posted back to your Jira issues as comments

Data Sharing#

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform:

We do not sell or rent your information to any third party.

  • OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted database fields, scoped to your organization
  • Jira webhook payloads are verified via JWT signatures before processing
  • All data transmission uses TLS encryption

Data Retention#

  • OAuth credentials: Retained while your Jira integration is active. Deleted immediately when you unlink the integration.
  • Workflow records: Retained for the lifetime of your account.
  • Jira issue content: Processed transiently during triage workflows. We do not maintain a persistent copy of your Jira issues.

  • Registered webhooks are removed from your Jira instance
  • Workflow history is retained unless you request deletion

To request complete deletion of your data, contact privacy@lingo.dev.
