W37 – The new Lingo.dev

The new Lingo.dev is here, and it is live for every organization.

It is completely redesigned around what you are trying to do: see where things stand on Home, configure your localization engines in Infrastructure, connect your tools in Studio, clear what needs a person in Queue, and check quality in Observability.

Where everything lives now#

  • Home. Your starting point. A quick read on recent activity across your workspace, so you always know where to pick up.
  • Infrastructure. Where you build and configure your localization engines. A localization engine is your translation setup: the LLM models for each language, a glossary of terms to keep exact, rulesets for how the language should read, and a brand voice per locale. Glossaries, rulesets, and brand voices are organization assets, so you set one up once and attach it to any localization engine. Every translation runs through your localization engine's pipeline, and you can try any change in the playground before it ships.
  • Studio. Where localization connects to the tools you already use. Install the GitHub App to translate on every push, connect a Zendesk Help Center to translate its articles, or connect a Payload CMS to translate its content, and each stays in sync as your source changes. The CLI and the API live here too, for translating straight from your codebase or your backend.
  • Queue. One inbox for everything that needs a person. Three kinds of work land here: human review, where your reviewers approve or edit translations before they ship; localization engine suggestions, which turn a recurring fix into a proposed glossary, rule, or brand-voice edit; and triage, where incoming issues are classified and routed. Filter the list however you work, and save those filters as named views so you open straight to what is yours.
  • Observability. Where you see whether the output is good, even in languages you cannot read. It brings together every report on volume, cost, coverage, and quality; your AI reviewers and the built-in checks that score glossary and rule adherence on every translation; and a log of every review beside the text it judged.

This is the new home for your localization work.
